Reporting to the Team Leader, Process Engineering, the incumbent is responsible for the introduction of new models/technology and the maintenance of current models, focusing on continuous cost and quality improvements and day to day shop floor support.
vProvide manufacturing engineering support in developing processes and the procurement of equipment, tooling and fixtures. vIdentify and implement actions to improve quality, reduce costs, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency. vLead internal & external 8D's ensuring root cause is identified and permanent corrective actions implemented. vDocumentation of processes - PMEA's. Process Flow Charts, Process Specifications vWork with manufacturing in carrying out production objectives, at lowest cost, consistent with the organizationís quality requirements (i.e.:on-line troubleshooting, QS 9000 documentation) vInteract with other pertinent departments as required vPerform other related duties as assigned by management
vManufacturing or Mechanical Engineering degree with 3-5 years manufacturing experience. OR vTechnological Diploma/Apprenticeship experience with 8-10 years progressive manufacturing experience. vExcellent organizational and communication skills vTeam orientated vProject management and time management vExperience with equipment & fixture design
